You may think the Holiday season is over--and you may be a little wrong.
It's the 12th Day of Christmas! I thought it started before December 25, on the 14th, with the grandest present gifted on the big day. Wikipedia sorted me out. It's an English carol, and they drive like it's opposite day and stuff, so this makes sense.
Before Christmas, I took a cruise to the Bahamas with family; my brother graciously gifted me a ticket when member of his brood couldn’t make it. A wonderful time was had by all (except for whoever threw up in the buffet's hand-washing station.)
The Norwegian Breakaway is big. It probably had about 6,000 people aboard. Like all big boats, it has a hospital and a morgue; fortunately I saw neither.
Anyway--back to the last day of Christmas. The ship has a festive display of bread sculptures; and the centerpiece features one bleak pile of wheat.
He looks a little like Rocky, if they'd washed off all the blood and put him in a Santa suit after the credits rolled.
But look at how happy that little snowman is! So, so happy!
Happy wrung-out holidays--the last time for 11 months.
